Abstract: |
A series of investigations, comprising the assessment of a ground investigation report, an examination of selected borehole cores described within the ground investigation report, and an archaeological 'watching brief' during the excavation of three hand-dug test-pits, were undertaken on the site of proposed construction works. The study identified no deposits of archaeological or palaeoenvironemental interest and confirmed that the site was highly disturbed and composed predominantly of 'made ground' deposits. The site was most probably disturbed during construction of the power station and associated works. [Au(adp)] |
