Abstract: |
The archaeological assessment has shown that the site lay in an area of archaeological potential of all periods from the Roman to the post-medieval. Roman burials, buildings, quarry pits and ditches, medieval and post-medieval features relating to the Bishop of Salisbury's inn and post-medieval buildings seen on historic maps. The proposed refurbishment involves the excavation of five lift pits. [Au(adp)] |
