Abstract: |
Two large pits were encountered in Area 1. Early Roman pottery in the upper fills suggested that it was of prehistoric date. The proximity and the morphological similarities of the second pit suggested that they were contemporary although neither could be precisely dated. No further evidence for the date of the well-defined ditched field system was recovered from the excavation.[Au(abr)] |
