Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site which lay within an area considered to be part of the hinterland of the Roman city of Londinium, outside the earliest fort. It was found that modern construction activity had caused a high degree of truncation, so that only natural sand and clay deposits were recorded. The implication was that all archaeological deposits had been removed from within the footprint of the site. [Au(adp)] |
