Abstract: |
Geophysical surveys were carried out on land to be affected by a proposed residential development. Geophysical anomalies throughout the study areas were found to be moderately intense reflecting significant variation in soil magnetic susceptibility. Evidence of medieval ridge and furrow field cultivation was found within Areas A amd C, whilst silted ditches were mapped in Areas A, B and D. Several intense magnetic dipoles were also detected of a character possibly consistant with burnt features such as buried kilns or hearths.[Au(abr)] |
