Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken following demolition. The historic building recording suggested that the oldest part of the building had been constructed in the late 19th or early 20th century and may have been related to the workings of the adjacent windmill. Most of the historic features were removed or obscured during successive renovations and during the 1970s and '80s, but several modest architectural features of interest had survived. No archaeological finds or features were found during the watching brief. [Au(abr)] |
