Abstract: |
Evaluation prior to use of the site for landfill revealed little archaeology despite the proximity of prehistoric, Roman and medieval sites. The only significant features located were of medieval date and included a pit, gully and another possible pit. There was a slightly higher than average recover of Mesolithic material too. No sign of the suspected medieval chapel was found. [AIP] |
