The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 A geophysical survey and an archaeological evaluation identified no significant archaeological deposits in the survey or in the majority of the trenches. Some archaeological features identified were of the 19th or 20th century. These included allotment boundaries and animal burials. Some features were undated but likely to relate to these periods. Three pits/post holes were found in Trenches 6 and 7, but may have related to activities from the medieval period, although the site was some distance from the medieval city centre. Three small gullies were identified in area D and later medieval/early post-medieval pottery was recovered there. These were all similar and were likely to be of the same date. This was the closest part of the site to the core of the medieval town and these features may have related to land division and drainage associated with activity on the edge of town. The finds included pottery, whetstone, clay pipes and environmental evidence. [Au(adp)]
