Abstract: |
<summary>Recording was undertaken following the discovery of coffin lids under the floor of the parish church during floor-board replacement. Three coffin lids of 13th century date were found; these had been incorporated into the foundation of the aisle wall in the early 15th century. Further investigations beneath the church floor revealed scattered disarticulated skeletons under the central aisle and former tombstones which had been used to prop up the floor during 19th century restoration. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
