Abstract: |
An archaeological desk based research assessment described the history of a block of Exeter properties bounded on the south by Magdalen Street, on the east by Southernhay East, on the north east by what had been the Trinity Burial Ground and on the north west by Trinity Street. It was recorded that occupation of the area began in the Roman period, and by the end of the medieval period the frontage onto Magdalen Street may possibly have been built up, although the surviving documentary evidence for that period was sparse and conflicting.
