Abstract: |
The Fosse Gate lay in an archaeologically sensitive area on the north side of Bristol Castle precinct. It lay within the mill leat adjacent to the north curtain wall and to the east of the 14th century New Gate, however, the culvert and chamber, of brick construction, appeared to either have removed, or obscured any potential archaeological features.
