Abstract: |
<summary>A watching brief during landscaping works to a low earth bank parallel to the southern end of the Terrace Range established that the bank was of recent origin, consisting largely of an accumulation of unconsolidated sandstone rubble and sand, capped with topsoil, and resting on a buried ground surface. Towards the centre, the bank sealed a number of associated large sandstone slabs with a mortar spread, which possibly represented the footings of a north-south wall. A line of stones set vertically on their sides and running parallel to the Terrace Range was interpreted as terracing, possibly to form flower beds. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
