Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment and evaluation were undertaken on land proposed for development as an extension to the house, and ancillary buildings at Hootens Farm. The desk-based assessment established that although the site was close to the deserted medieval village of Kirby, the earthworks did not extend into the study area. The evaluation failed to locate any features of archaeological significance, although several sherds of medieval pottery were recovered. [AIP] |
