Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief and evaluation were carried out on a series of boreholes and trial holes. Up to 2.60m of alluvium was reported above the natural gravels. No substantial peat deposits were recorded either in plan or from boreholes. Remains of the original north wall of the West India Import Dock and associated early 19th century warehouses were found.
