Abstract: |
704 sq. m of trial trenching was undertaken in advance of excavation works for a proposed reservoir and fishing lake. Although evidence suggested that the site was situated in an area of high archaeological potential, no archaeological features were recorded. This may in part have been due to intensive agricultural practices and clay pitting, which would have truncated any archaeological remains. [Au(adp)] |
