Abstract: |
During the evaluation a stone wall running NW-SE was identified. The upper stones were weathered and degraded where they had been exposed to the elements. Within the walled garden were uncovered the remains of 19th or 20th century glass houses, associated with dumps of garden soil and terracotta flowerpots. Underlying these were linear features, which may have indicated the remains of an earlier garden layout. [Au(abr)] |
