Abstract: |
An archaeological excavation was carried out on the site of a known Saxon settlement prior to development. Five structures were identified, three rectangular post structures, one of which was cut by one of two Grubenhaus. Saxon pits and post holes were also identified. Pottery, animal bone, quernstones, fired clay and loomweights, among other finds were recovered from the features. [Au(abr)] |
