Abstract: |
The report offers an appraisal of the archaeological implications of redevelopment of the area surrounding Chantry Close, Uxbridge. The area has produced evidence of prehistoric activity but there is no evidence for Roman activity and it is probable that medieval features would be related to field systems. Deposits associated with the Grand Union Canal may be encountered along the southern edge of the site. It is recommended that archaeological evaluation be conducted to determine the presence/absence of any archaeological remains. [Au(adp)] |
