Abstract: |
Archaeological recording was carried out at the site during the excavation of trenches for a replacement to a failed oil pipe. The stone foundations for the early 19th century covered walkway were recorded in the garden to the east of the building. This was designed by the architect C S Smith in 1818 to link the stables and riding school to the main house. It was demolished in the mid 20th century. [Au(adp)] |
