Abstract: |
The assessment was concentrated on the area within and around the Bodmin Leat system which was to undergo improvements. The assessment identified areas of significant medieval activity within and close to the leat in the form of a priory with associated structures, St Petroc's Holy Well and Bodmin Priory Church. Areas of post-medieval settlement activity were also present. Many of the sites had statutory protection and it was deemed necessary to continue with more archaeological investigations ahead of the improvement works. [AIP] |
