Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of a housing development, which lay close to the projected route of a Roman road. A ditch containing pottery of the 1st millennium BC was found. A recent drain and cobbled surface were also noted, although the degree of modern disturbance was found to be low. It was concluded that the site had a high archaeological potential. [AIP] |
