Abstract:		 There was the possibility that the study area contained below ground archaeological remains of regional significance which would have merited preservation by record. In particular the site of Brookside Farm had the potential for medieval and post-medieval settlement. The possible enclosure identified as a crop mark may have related to Iron Age or Romano-British settlement. The recommended form of mitigation was that these sites should be archaeologically evaluated through trial trenching. [Au(abr)]
