Abstract: |
A total of 14 features were revealed during the evaluation. Of these, four were modern service runs and 2 were structural features that correlated with the mapped 19th century development of the area. The other features included post holes and pits, and two brick rubble filled structural features. Although predominantly 19th and early 20th century in date, evidence was recorded to indicate that the brick rubble filled structural remains were 17th/18th century in date, and may have been broadly contemporaneous with a spread of brick rubble to the south of the existing school building. No evidence for earlier activity was noted. [Au(abr)] |
