Abstract: |
A desk-based study of land proposed for mineral extraction identified that the majority of information relating to the Round Green site and its environs related to activity during the post-medieval period. This included a Civil War siege tower at Hound Hill, Wentworth Castle, and references to mining in the area. A walkover survey did not uncover any further features which could be assigned archaeological significance. [Au(adp)] |
