Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment found evidence from aerial photography suggesting that the Iron Age/Romano-British field system may have extended into the site. There was also evidence for human occupation of the Methley area in the Mesolithic, Neolithic and Bronze Age periods. Medieval pottery and other material had been found in the vicinity and a known medieval farmstead existed to the south of the site. Medieval and post-medieval field systems and ridge and furrow cultivation was in the vicinity. [Au(adp)] |
