Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation by trial trenching was undertaken on the ground of the Listed Grade II* building of 17th century date. Three trenches excavated to the levels where natural formations were encountered, beneath deposits containing occasional material of 17th to 20th century date. The only other man-made features were the foundations of the post-medieval boundary wall and part of the stone quarry. [Au(abr)] |
