Abstract:		 A watching brief was carried out during groundworks in connection with the construction of public conveniences and a car park extension, at a site which lay within the monastic precinct of the now-demolished Abbey of St Mary. Much of the monastic site was a Scheduled Ancient Monument. During the watching brief, post-medieval and modern artefacts were observed, but no archaeological features were recorded. [AIP]
