Abstract: |
The watching brief revealed two well-defined clusters of archaeological features. The largest and most significant group consisted of 31 features, comprising pit and post hole clusters, boundary and/or enclosure ditches and a possible post hole structure. The second group consisted of two pits and a section of ditch, located 340 metres further to the west. The majority of the features provided datable material, with two main phases of activity represented, Late Bronze Age and Early/Middle Saxon period. [Au(abr)] |
