Abstract: |
A watching brief and evaluation were carried out on the site of a guardhouse, part of an early 19th century fort built to protect Chatham docks. Walls and a concrete floor were recorded in the evaluation trench. The watching brief observed a demi-vaulted chamber, the front wall of the guard house and a ditch revetment wall. [Au(abr)] |
