Abstract: |
The presence of prehistoric settlement to the east of the site, including oval enclosures, a double-ditched linear feature and a hut circle in the form of crop marks during air photography, together with many finds of flint flakes, indicated that the site lay in an area of high archaeological potential for remains dating from the prehistoric period. It was suggested that further trial work concentrate on the eastern part of the site. [Au(abr)] |
