Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in response to a planning condition. The evaluation revealed that the majority of the area investigated had been disturbed and sealed by a previous hospital landfill site. A single piece of Roman pottery was found within a small area of partially truncated subsoil, which was similar in nature to other soils where Roman activity had been identified, during previous investigations within the Churchill Hospital site.
