Abstract: |
The watching brief established that there was no evidence for any medieval buildings along the street frontage of Holme Church Lane. It was considered that the medieval ditches which had been recorded by an earlier evaluation probably related to agricultural enclosures. Some 19th century black silt-filled pits were identified which were related to the rope works that previously occupied the site. [AIP] |
