Abstract: |
A brief programme of documentary research followed by an earthwork survey was commissioned ahead of consideration by English Heritage of the site for inclusion in the Monuments Protection Programme. The most clearly visible earthworks could be split into three distinct categories; the hollow way, the moated site, and the earthworks in the south-eastern corner of the field. These clearly defined earthworks were found throughout the length of the field (from its boundaries on the east and west). Survival was found to be excellent with the three cited examples being the best examples of survival. [Au] |
