Abstract: |
Observation of topsoil stripping in the south-east corner of the Treatment works, undertaken in order to fulfil a condition upon planning permission, revealed no archaeological features or finds. Background research suggested that the deserted medieval village of Finham should be located at Finham Green and not, as suggested by the Warwickshire SMR following Beresford and Hurst, adjacent to Finham Park which was a late 18th/early 19th century settlement.
