Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation comprising two trial trenches was carried out prior to the construction of a new canteen block. A Roman building discovered in the 18th century was situated nearby and a Roman road was believed to lie under the modern Loose Road, to the west of the site. Two pits, dated to the late 17th century and early 18th century were discovered, but no archaeological remains or artefacts associated with the Roman building were observed. [Au(adp)] |
