Abstract: |
Archaeological assessment and field reconnaissance was undertaken along the line of a proposed water pipeline corridor between Harlow Hill and Clapham Green, near Harrogate. Several areas of potential archaeological significance were recorded and these included the putative line of a Roman Road, the site of a Domesday Vill, rectilinear cropmarks apparently formed as an enclosure and, remains likely to relate to the management and distribution of water for Harrogate Spa.
