Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment was undertaken prior to development. The site lay within an Area of Archaeological Potential, but did not contain any SAM's or Listed Buildings. Although there were entries in the SMR, relating to a wide range of finds and excavations for areas near the site. Historical maps showed that the site was built upon by the mid-18th century. The degree of archaeological preservation depended upon the impact of modern development. AOC proposed that the archaeological impact of the development application could be further mitigated through the attachment of conditions to any approval. [Au(abr)] |
