Abstract: |
The archaeological work was aimed at clearing the inside of the 18th century mausoleum (a Grade I Listed Building) coupled with an attempt to establish the original profile of the dry moat which surrounded the structure. The fill within the building was manually removed to uncover the original floor level. A range of artefacts which included marble, dressed stone and ironwork were recovered. [Au(abr)] |
