Abstract: |
In response to a planning condition placed on an extension to the Northampton County golf course, an archaeological evaluation was commissioned. Although Fox Covert was located within a known archaeological landscape, suggesting a high potential for the discovery of features and artefacts from a range of historic and prehistoric periods, the lack of chance finds from the immediate vicinity and the evidence of the fieldwork led to a strong intimation that no significant archaeology was likely to be encountered by the proposed development.
