Abstract: |
Archaeological desktop study of the preferred route of improvements to the junctions of the A64 and Top Lane identified evidence of archaeological sites in the vicinity of the proposals. A Roman road and possible prehistoric and Roman settlement may have been disturbed by the road works. A preliminary walkover survey suggested that deposits may have remained undisturbed in the ground. [AIP] |
