Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out during geological test pitting in the grounds of Clarke Hall. Organic deposits were seen in one of the test pits. It was thought that these were probably from an infilled pond, which was illustrated on various plans and estate maps of the Hall. No archaeological deposits were seen in any of the test pits. [Au] |
