Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief encountered ploughsoil across most of the site as well as modern dump deposits. In the north-east corner of the site, a sequence of Roman deposits containing a number of large pottery fragments provided signs of domestic refuse dumping associated with the Roman vicus relating to the Roman fort to the north.
