Abstract: |
The findings of the archaeological desktop study on land off The Street, Crowmarsh showed that the proposal area had the potential to contain archaeological deposits from several periods, but particularly those of medieval date. These may possibly have included the sites of seige castles and a leper hospital, but were more likely to relate to settlement during the 13th and 14th centuries. These findings were sufficient to merit the recommendation for a field evaluation. [Au(abr)] |
