Abstract: |
The evaluation was hampered by adverse weather conditions and one trench (trench two) was abandoned due to flooding. Post-medieval and modern features were identified in the other trenches, the most recent of which were associated with the use of the site as a nursery. The other features recorded were the remains of post-medieval ridge and furrow ploughing aligned north-south, an alignment reflected in the modern property boundaries. Pottery from the fill of the furrows ranged from the 16th-18th centuries. [Au(abr)] |
