Abstract: |
A rapid archaeological appraisal was undertaken of land at 18-20 Brand Street, Hitchin. The site lay within a defined area of Archaeological Significance and there was evidence for both prehistoric and late Romano-British/Early Saxon archaeological material being recovered close to the site. The site had been previously developed and it was considered possible that cellars might have damaged archaeological deposits, if any were present. [Au(abr)] |
