Abstract: |
The presence of Romano-British activity to the south of the site and evidence revealed during the evaluation suggested that the site may have had the potential to contain evidence of Romano-British and later settlement/agricultural activity. In the event, several linear features were encountered but the majority related to modern or post-medieval field drainage systems and ploughing. Only two features could tentatively be interpretated as Romano-British as the paucity of datable finds recovered made any dates questionable.[AIP] |
