Abstract:
Test pits and a trench excavated by groundworks contractors at a development site were monitored to assess archaeological potential. A possible post-medieval pit was revealed, and the cellars of a late 19th century hotel which had been destroyed in WWII were recorded. It was concluded that a further watching brief would be necessary after site clearance. [AIP]
