Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment of the area revealed prehistoric and other activity, including a ring ditch. The watching brief revealed a small number of archaeological features that were indicative of a late prehistoric settlement. Three pits containing Middle to Later Iron Age pottery were recovered, as well as two ditches phased to that period. It was thought that the previously identified ring ditch was associated with these discoveries. [Au(abr)] |
