Abstract: |
The watching brief revealed one further medieval ditch to add to the two previously recorded ditches from the 1998 field evaluation. All three ditches shared a common alignment north-west to south-east, and all contained medieval pottery of 12th to early 14th century date. Evidence from aerial photographs suggested that the alignment of the ditches corresponded to part of a strip field system to the north of medieval Fiddington.{Au(abr)] |
