Abstract: |
A section of wall was recorded and a watching brief was maintained during the removal of all concrete slabs and tarmac. A small area of hardstanding was revealed, perhaps contemporary with the construction of the Shorncliffe Battery or possibly representing a medieval or post-medieval hard for the beaching of boats.
